Niseko Photography are organising another Photo Exhibition and BBQ event, this time the event is on the 17th of Sept, from 4pm at the Niseko Photography gallery at Berg House in Hirafu. Local Photographer and Designer Paul Malandain will be displaying some of his work and the crew from J-Sekka will be putting on a delicious American style BBQ, with 1000yen plates of food and 300yen Otaru beer!
Paul’s Photos are mainly Nature or Landscape shots and will be showing predominantly HDR photography…
“What is HDR?” we hear you say, well this is the definition according to wikipedia, …
“In image processing, computer graphics, and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminances between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wider dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight. read more here…”
Paul will also be showing a few shots that are not HDR, but regardless all the photos he will be showing have been taken in Hokkaido, and specifically the Shiribeshi area.
This event will be the second of it’s kind, The first event back in July – Which showcased Niseko Photography owner Aaron Jamieson’s photography of his recent travels to South East Asia – was a great success, with many people turning up to enjoy his photos and the delicious Asian BBQ put on by the Sekka team, plus the MTB skills coarse set up by Groove Cycles.
We hope this coming event will be just as successful and urge you tell a friend and come along to enjoy some nice imagery , great food and a bit of local interaction.
see you there.
