Gumboots and Shochu.

After our first trip to Otsuchi to deliver food and supplies we returned home to forecasts of snow and freezing weather. With supplies still on hold due to fuel shortages we decided to turn around and go back again with a second van load of supplies.

This time we took fuel for heaters, water, food and warm clothing… here’s a few images of how Otsuchi looks 12 days following the Tsunami. Thank you to all of the residents of Niseko that donated so generously – I hope the smiles you see in this short film will help you to see that your generosity brought some warmth and happiness into the lives of those surviving the Tsunami.

This short film is a sequel to A Small Relief Effort and a summary of what we experienced from our second trip.

  1. Thank you guys. You are helping in such tremendous ways. These videos really spread the awareness which is so extrememly important. Arigatou!

    • Thank you everyone for your overwhelming support and encouragement!

We’re really just two guys who want to do what we can, thank you for all of your offers to donate and help. We never intended to grow this beyond just the two of us but are flattered by the support shown by the Australian community.

Since Steve Price’s radio show we’ve had dozens of people contacting us to help with offers donations. We’ve tried to work out the best way to accept donations without large amounts ending up lost in bank fees. In the next 24hrs we’ll have a small online shop ready where people can purchase images of the Tsunami. We’ll use these purchases as funds for our next trip which will be to deliver some construction materials to Otsuchi.

Visit http://www.nisekophotography.com, click to the online shop and choose an image. We’ll use all purchases from the next two weeks to donate proceeds to the Tsunami relief.

      More details will follow shortly….

Again, thank you for all of your support!

      Sincerely.

      Aaron.
